Healthy Incentive Grants: School Districts
About
Healthy schools make it easier for Oklahoma students, teachers and staff to build healthy habits. TSET Healthy Incentive Grants for School Districts help public school districts strengthen wellness policies and complete projects that support tobacco-free environments, nutrition, physical activity and employee wellness.
Funding is available for:
Districts with 2,000 students or fewer: Up to $50,000
Districts with 2,001 students or more: Up to $80,000
Funding amounts are based on the district’s enrollment using the most recent Oklahoma State Department of Education data. No matching funds are required.
School districts may apply during either of two FY27 application periods:
Sept. 9 – Oct. 8, 2026
Jan. 5 – Feb. 4, 2027
FY27 Resource Guide
The FY27 School Districts Resource Guide is now available. For full access to the guide’s forms, clickable sections, attachments and appendices, download the file and open it in Adobe Acrobat Reader. Adobe Reader is available for free.
Applications open Sept. 9, 2026.
Policy Help
School districts can start preparing now by reviewing and updating their wellness and tobacco-free campus policies. Two free Oklahoma-specific policy builders in the Healthier Generation Action Center walk district teams through the process and help create policy documents aligned with Oklahoma’s sample policies.
The one-page guide explains how to create an account, join your district’s organization and access the Oklahoma School District Wellness Policy Builder and the Oklahoma 24/7 Tobacco-, Smoke-, and Vape-Free Campus Policy Builder.
When the next application period opens, review the current TSET Healthy Incentive Grant Resource Guide for complete application and policy requirements.
