These eight communities were awarded TSET Healthy Incentive Grants because of their commitment to implementing policies and practices that support health.
Grant funds can be used for various projects that promote healthy and active living. Previous awards have been used for walking trails, pickleball courts, splash pads, farmers market venues, outdoor playgrounds and exercise equipment.
“Communities are key to improving health and quality of life in Oklahoma, and we know access to parks and other amenities that promote physical activity for all ages is an important step in creating a healthier Oklahoma,” said TSET Executive Director Julie Bisbee. “Healthy Incentive Grants are one of many ways TSET supports cities and towns across Oklahoma promoting health and wellness opportunities for all generations.
