About the human services sector

Human services agencies work to improve the well-being and quality of life for Oklahomans by providing assistance and support to address the diverse needs of individuals and communities in our state.

Current projects and supplier needs

Oklahoma Human Services (OHS) is seeking suppliers for the following projects:

  • Child Welfare Services (CWS) KIDS replacement: Replacing an outdated legacy system with modern technology to drive efficiencies with functionality and ongoing support. A new Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System (CCWIS) will automate the collection of high-quality case management data and promote analysis, distribution, and use by workers, supervisors, administrators, researchers and policymakers.
  • Case management solutions: Multiple programs will be seeking new case management solutions through solicitations in the future to replace outdated legacy systems with modern technology to drive efficiencies with functionality and ongoing support.
  • Finance modernization: The Finance Modernization program aims to replace an outdated legacy system and processes with modern technology. A new payment solution will automate many manual processes that are prone to human error and require large amounts of time, while also increasing transparency for divisions and speed of payment for both constituents and employees with urgent needs. These changes will also increase vendor participation for our voucher programs and reduce risk of fraud, waste and misuse by creating new controls around financial management where the state serves as a fiduciary and guardian for a constituent.
  • Master data management: Implementing a new enterprise approach to data at Oklahoma Human Services, including supporting governance and technologies. This ensures access to a single, accurate view of clients, programs and resources allowing for better service delivery, data-driven decisions and improved program outcomes.

The Oklahoma Office of Juvenile Affairs (OJA) is seeking suppliers for the following projects:

  • Maintenance of state vehicles: Seeking mechanics across the state. Currently, there are areas with deep resource pools when vehicle maintenance is needed, but other areas lack availability of any vendors.
  • Supporting community partners, group homes and youth service agencies: Vendors who specialize in gang and/or trafficking intervention curriculum writing services and professional youth mentors are needed at our youth services agencies. Most facilities also need charter bus companies to move the necessary amount of people (usually 20 or more) to events while cutting down the total number of staff needed to transport and chaperone youths.
  • Reducing utility costs at the Central Oklahoma Juvenile Center (COJC): An energy usage auditor with experience reducing utility costs on large, multibuilding campuses is needed at the COJC.
  • Improving interior of the state office: We’re seeking artists willing to work with youth to create art for the state office, art for purchase that represents appropriate themes of our agency, and an environmental consultant who can evaluate the office environment and consult on appropriate design for employee performance optimization.

The J.D. McCarty Center (JDMC) is seeking suppliers for the following projects:

  • Replacing skylights throughout the hospital due to age, wear and potential leak issues. Estimated project cost is between $300,000-$500,000.
  • Repainting all facilities on the campus as part of a regular maintenance routine. The projected cost for this project will be $300,000-$500,000.

The Oklahoma Office of Disability Concerns (ODC) is seeking suppliers for the following projects:

  • Researching new cost-effective case management system.
