Claimants: To file a weekly claim during this time, call 405-525-1500 and follow the prompts. New initial claims must be filed before 5:00 p.m. Friday, October 23, or after 7:00 p.m. Saturday, October 24.

Employers: New employer account registrations must be completed before 5:00 p.m. Friday, October 23, or after 7:00 p.m. Saturday, October 24.

Jobless Rates Down Over the Year for Most Oklahoma Counties in September

In September, Love County posted Oklahoma’s highest county unemployment rate of 5.5 percent. Seminole County reported the second-highest rate for the month. Texas County reported the lowest county unemployment rate of 1.9 percent in September. Unemployment rates in September were higher than a year earlier in 73 counties, lower in 3 counties, and unchanged in 1 county.
