Healthcare Added as Qualifying Industry for Oklahoma Talent Accelerator Grant

OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma Employment Security Commission (OESC) has expanded the Oklahoma Talent Accelerator Grant to include healthcare as a qualifying industry.

The expansion allows eligible healthcare employers to access grant funding to help offset the cost of workforce training and upskilling, strengthening Oklahoma's healthcare workforce while addressing industry demand.

"Healthcare is one of Oklahoma's most critical industries, and investing in its workforce is essential to meeting the needs of our communities," said DeDe Smith, OESC Vice President of Workforce Services. "By adding healthcare to the Talent Accelerator Grant, we're giving employers another tool to attract, develop, and retain the skilled professionals they need."

The Oklahoma Talent Accelerator Grant provides eligible employers with reimbursement for approved training programs of up to 80%. Healthcare now joins the program's growing list of high-demand industries eligible for funding including Defense, Aerospace, AI Infrastructure, and Advanced Manufacturing.
