OESC Expands Access to Workforce Services with New American Job Center Locations

Monday, August 03, 2026

OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma Employment Security Commission (OESC) has relocated its American Job Centers in Miami, Chickasha, and Shawnee to new, more accessible locations, making it easier for job seekers and employers to connect with workforce services.

The new locations are part of Oklahoma's ongoing Workforce Transformation efforts to modernize the state's workforce system and improve access to employment, training, and business services. The updated facilities provide welcoming spaces where Oklahomans can receive career guidance, search for jobs, connect with training opportunities, and access employer services.

"These new locations reflect our commitment to meeting Oklahomans where they are and ensuring workforce services are easy to access," said Cody Cox, OESC Vice President of Field Operations. "As we continue transforming Oklahoma's workforce system, we're creating stronger connections between job seekers, employers, and the resources they need to succeed."

American Job Centers serve as one-stop workforce hubs, offering employment assistance, career counseling, hiring events, résumé support, unemployment insurance assistance, and connections to education and training programs. Employers can also access recruiting assistance, hiring events, labor market information, and workforce development resources.

The relocations reinforce OESC's commitment to delivering modern, customer-focused services while strengthening Oklahoma's workforce for the future.
