OESC Working with Partners for Job Fair at Rose State College

Thursday, May 23, 2024

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – The Oklahoma Employment Security Commission (OESC) is excited to partner with several organizations for a job fair in central Oklahoma this month.

The job fair will feature more than 50 employers with jobs ready to hire. Partners for this event include the Central Oklahoma Workforce Innovation Board (COWIB), Work Ready Oklahoma, and the Oklahoma Department of Rehabilitation Services.

The event will be held Thursday, May 30 from 10am-2pm at the Jeanie Webb Student Union located on the campus of Rose State College. The Student Union is located at 1910 Hudiburg Dr. Midwest City, OK 73110.

"Most people find work on their own and most businesses find staff on their own. But when many businesses within the same industries have challenges matching people to work, the right help usually requires teamwork across different State agencies and schools,” said OESC CEO Trae Rahill. “We are always excited to find partners like Rose State who are similarly missioned on putting people to work, and we are thrilled to be working with them to host another career fair. People deserve to be helped by the State institutions they fund with their tax dollars, and in higher education, the best form of that help usually means prioritizing the placement of students in jobs that the economy needs. Rose State does this well, so we greatly appreciate them hosting this career fair.”

Some of the employers participating in this event include Hertz, Continental Resources, Cintas, Oklahoma City Public Schools, Tinker Air Force Base, and AAR Aircraft Services plus many more.

Job-seekers are encouraged to bring a copy of their resume, dress professionally, and be prepared for interviews on the spot.
