What to Expect

Because this program is completely voluntary, you must request our services. Once you request a consultation, we’ll tailor the visit to meet your specific needs. Here’s how the process works:

Step 1: Scheduling After you submit your request, one of our safety and health consultants will reach out to schedule a visit that works for you. We’ll prioritize your request based on urgency, your work schedule, and the time needed to prepare.

Step 2: Opening Conference When the consultant arrives at your workplace, we’ll start with a quick opening conference to review what to expect and confirm the goals of your consultation. This is your chance to outline any specific concerns you may have.

Step 3: Walk-Through The consultant will then walk through your worksite, either focusing on the areas you’ve identified or conducting a full facility review. OSHA encourages employee involvement—your workers are your best allies in spotting potential hazards. Together, we’ll identify risks, discuss OSHA standards, and suggest practical solutions to improve safety and health.

A comprehensive consultation will include:

  • Identifying mechanical and environmental hazards
  • Reviewing physical work practices
  • Assessing your current safety and health programs

Step 4: Closing Conference After the walk-through, we’ll meet again for a closing conference. We’ll provide a summary of findings, highlighting what you’re doing right and where improvements are needed. Together, we’ll develop a plan to address any hazards, with agreed-upon timelines for correcting any serious issues.

Step 5: Follow-Up and Support After the consultation, you’ll receive a detailed written report, including our recommendations for hazard correction. We’re here to support you every step of the way, from answering questions to providing resources as you work through the recommended actions. If necessary, we can conduct follow-up visits to ensure your progress.
