Eight gold winners move to district-level competition

OKLAHOMA CITY (March 6, 2024) — The Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust (TSET) received nearly two dozen honors at the local 2024 American Advertising Awards (ADDYs) for campaigns and brands aimed at promoting better health and well-being across Oklahoma.

Tobacco Stops With Me (TSWM), a program of TSET, received eight gold, seven silver and five bronze ADDYs for several of its campaigns including “Shapeshifter,” “Apartments” and “The Cloud.” Additionally, TSWM’s “Shapeshifter - Teen Girl” creative earned a Special Judges Award in the Professional Division for Best of Film, Video and Sound.

Shape Your Future, TSET’s whole-health education program, received a bronze ADDY for a single social video from its Mascot Campaign.

TSET’s winning ADDY entries were produced in collaboration with VI Marketing and Branding, a digital marketing firm headquartered in Oklahoma City.

“This is prestigious recognition for our efforts promoting healthier living across Oklahoma,” said Julie Bisbee, executive director of TSET. “These awards highlight TSET's unwavering commitment to improving the health and well-being of Oklahomans. Through these compelling messages, TSET strives to empower future generations to make or sustain changes that will lead to healthier lives for all.”

The ADDY Awards is a competition of the American Advertising Federation (AAF). AAF Oklahoma, the local AAF club, represents dozens of agencies from the OKC, Tulsa and Wichita Falls, TX area. Local gold ADDY winners move on to district-level competition. District winners are eligible for the national ADDYs.

Success at the American Advertising Awards further emphasizes the significant impact of TSET’s statewide media campaigns, which continue to inspire positive changes in communities throughout Oklahoma. Since TSET started its health communication campaigns, the state has seen a significant drop in adult smoking rates, an increase in registrations for the Oklahoma Tobacco Helpline, and a major shift in how teens look at nutrition.
