Current projects and supplier needs

  • Transportation infrastructure construction:
    • SH-82 – grade, drain, surface and bridge in Cherokee County.
    • US-270 – grade, drain and surface in Dewey County.
    • Supplier needs: road and bridge contractors, traffic control, sod, trucking, aggregate, asphalt and concrete – must increase statewide contract suppliers to underserved areas.
  • Buy America: Critical need to have access to Buy America-compliant manufacturing materials.
  • ACCESS Oklahoma: A 15-year, $5 billion investment to widen turnpike, provide new access to communities, and create new routes to improve safety and relieve congestion.
  • Seasonal contracts: Mowing; herbicide; and litter, snow and ice removal.
  • Professional Services – Engineering, Survey, etc.:
    • US-75 and I-44 interchange (work packages 2, 3 and 5).
    • Remaining phases of I-35/I-240 interchange.
    • Rural two-lane projects.
    • 10% reduction in two-lane roads with deficient shoulders in the next three years.
  • Technology projects: Statewide Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) and Statewide Close Circuit TV (CCTV).
  • Equipment needs: Safety equipment for maintenance workers and construction equipment.
  • Safety projects: School zone warning signage/signalization and wrong-way detection.
  • Vertical construction maintenance: New construction, remodeling and repair, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, and overhead doors.
  • Disadvantage Business Enterprise (DBE) Program: Provides meaningful participation opportunities on federal projects for minorities and women-owned businesses. ODOT is responsible for DBE certification for the state.
  • Transit vehicles: Statewide rolling stock for various subrecipients.
