State Charitable Campaign
The State Charitable Campaign was created in 1989 and provides a vehicle for state employees to extend their public service and help improve our communities!
The SCC is governed by the Oversight Committee for State Employee Charitable Contributions, comprised of state employee appointees, which acts as the campaign's board of directors approving charities to participate, overseeing campaign procedures, and contracting with a non-profit organization to manage the campaign annually.
Rooted in Community: United in Hope
This year’s theme – Rooted in Community: United in Hope! – celebrates Route 66 and the SCC’s efforts to help people navigate life’s unexpected detours. Through local programs and services, we can help our neighbors get back on the road and headed in the right direction.
Last year, OMES employees generously contributed more than $17,000 to the SCC. This year, we aim to surpass this amount with your support!
One of the easiest ways to support the SCC is through payroll deductions, available online through the OMES pledge portal. You can choose to make a recurring contribution directly from your paycheck, making it simple and convenient to support the charity or charities of your choice throughout the campaign year.
You can also support the SCC through one-time donations and OMES-hosted events that help employees contribute and connect with colleagues.
Together, we can travel farther, do more good and prove that the best road trips are the ones where everyone arrives a little better off than when they started.
