PRSS/F-PRSS Renewal Process
Please plan to complete your renewal well in advance of the December 31 expiration deadline. Renewals submitted after this date will be subject to a $25 late fee.
To allow adequate time for review and any necessary corrections, we strongly recommend submitting your completed renewal packet no later than December 1st of your expiration year.
Please be advised that submitting your renewal prior to December 31, does not guarantee approval. If your packet is incomplete, it will be denied and returned for correction. Each review cycle may take several business days, and repeated submissions could result in processing delays. These delays may cause your renewal to be finalized after the expiration date, resulting in the $25 late fee..
When logging into your Access Control account, if your account is in "Inactive status”, you will need to contact OMES Service Desk at 405-521-2444, or toll-free at 866-521-2444. The technician will open a help ticket on your behalf, and an ODMHSAS IT technician will contact you by email or phone to assist with your Access Control login and/or reset your password. DO NOT CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT.
Certification Renewal Steps
Steps to complete your renewal process:
- Sign into Access Control and click on the Registration Icon
- Select Peer Recovery Support Specialist.
- Click on the Advance to Registration button; this will get you into your record.
- To get to the CEU Information Tab, click NEXT at the bottom of each page.
- DELETE ALL OUTDATED CEU SESSIONS from previous year renewal. Then, enter your current year CEU Sessions for a total of 12 CEUs (3 Ethics and 9 General) under the CEU Tab. Please do not enter more than this total, if possible.
- The last tab in the record is the ‘RSS Information’ tab. Print off the Renewal Summary form that appears when you click on Submit and check the Agreement box. The Renewal Summary form is found at the end of your PRSS app record. Click NEXT on each screen until you get to the final screen, then click SUBMIT. When you click on Submit and check the Agreement box, the Renewal Summary form will be the next screen that comes up. Print and sign the form on the designated signature line.
- Complete a new Verification of Employment form
- Pay the $15 Renewal Fee in Pay Bills. Print receipt to scan.
- Email your PRSS Renewal documents to PRSSRenewal@odmhsas.org which are as follows:
- Signed Renewal Summary form
- Receipt of online payment
- Completed Verification of Employment form
If you are submitting a college credit course in substitution for CEU credit (3 credit courses are equal to 12 CEU’s), you must email a copy of both the transcript and syllabus pages that outline the course title and where Ethics was mentioned in the course study. Email all pages to PPRSSRenewal@odmhsas.org for review and approval.

Late Renewals
Renewals that are not submitted and approved by December 31 of your designated renewal year will be considered late.
A six-month extension is available, allowing you to renew through June 30 of the year following your renewal year. During this extension period, you will be required to pay:
- The standard $15 renewal fee, plus
- A $25 late fee
If a late renewal is not submitted and approved before July 1, your certification will be officially expired as of July 1 following your renewal year.
Once expired, you must restart the certification process from the beginning. You will not be eligible to reapply until after a mandatory 60-day waiting period.
