Board Governance
A governing board ensures the quality of mental health and substance abuse programs across Oklahoma. The Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) governing board is a nine-member body, with five members appointed by the Governor, two members appointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, and two members appointed by the President Pro Tempore of the Senate.

Meeting Locations
All regularly scheduled meetings of the Board shall be held at the Central Office of the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, Oklahoma City , Oklahoma, unless otherwise scheduled. Five members shall constitute a quorum at any meeting, and all action may be taken by an affirmative vote of the majority of the members present at any such meeting.
