ODMHSAS issues request for proposal to explore state-owned CCBHC operations
The Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) to explore whether an established Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) operator could strengthen services at the state’s four CCBHC service areas. The request also covers two additional service areas: Logan and Oklahoma County.
This review is part of the agency’s ongoing efforts to evaluate and improve behavioral health services for Oklahomans. No decisions have been made. The RFP is an initial fact-finding step to understand what options exist and whether a private operator could enhance technology, modernize facilities and support long-term workforce needs.
Oklahoma has been a national leader in expanding the CCBHC model, and state-run clinics have been central to that progress. If a provider is ultimately selected, the state’s expectation is continuity of care and workforce stability throughout any transition.
