988 Oklahoma Mental Health Lifeline and Curbside Flowers Spread Holiday Cheer

Wednesday, December 20, 2023

Despite the merry time of year, many Oklahomans battle a mental warzone of holiday struggles and triggers of trauma. The 988 Oklahoma Mental Health Lifeline is partnering with Curbside Flowers so that Oklahomans feel supported and encouraged to reach out for help when they aren't feeling so merry and bright and need a reminder that life is worth living this holiday season.

While Oklahomans are holiday shopping for themselves or loved ones at OKC's Curbside Flowers, they'll find messages of support and hope from 988.

Holiday postcards are placed at Curbside Flowers that read, "You're the only gift I need," "You make me feel merry and bright" and "Spread some ho ho hope.” Oklahomans are encouraged to take the cards and spread their own holiday cheer by letting friends, family, loved ones or even strangers on the street know that someone is still here because you are and help is available.

988 also offers a variety of resources on its website at https://988oklahoma.com/. The postcards complement a full campaign across the state with billboards, blogs, social media and more throughout the holiday season.
