ECF Transition News and Updates

A reminder that the Oklahoma Bar Association, in conjunction with the Oklahoma Corporation Commission, is sponsoring a Zoom training session on the Electronic Case Filing (ECF) system tomorrow (Thursday, March 31). The Zoom meeting will start at 12:00 noon to give everyone plenty of time to join and to allow time for announcements. The actual training will begin at 12:30 p.m.


The session qualifies for 2 CLE Total Credit hours.

Both attorneys and non-attorneys are welcome.

Attorneys can register for the session here.

The Oklahoma Corporation Commission (OCC) is pleased to announce that, in collaboration with the OCC, the Oklahoma Bar Association (OBA) is sponsoring a Zoom training session on the Electronic Case Filing (ECF) system Thursday, March 31, 12:30 – 2:30 p.m.


The session qualifies for 2 CLE Total Credit hours.

Both attorneys and non-attorneys are welcome.

ECF now in operation

ECF began operation on March 21, 2022.

Please note that this is a transition, and during this period all other methods for filing case documents remain available.

  • Ease in tracking cases

Transition to Electronic Case Filing has begun

We are pleased to announce the start of Electronic Case Filing (ECF) effective today (March 21, 2022).

Please note that this is a transition, and during this period all other methods of filing case documents remain available.

Case filers are encouraged to register in ECF as soon as possible in order to become familiar with the system and take advantage of all it has to offer. Registration instructions can be found here: How to Register

  • Powerful and easy-to-use search and research tools
  • Ease in tracking cases

The Oklahoma Corporation Commission (OCC) will start Electronic Case Filing (ECF) on Monday, March 21.

ECF will provide:

  • Efficient case filing available 24 hours
  • Powerful and easy-to-use search and research tools
  • Ease in tracking cases

What won't change

  • OCC's commitment to customer service.
    • Help to case filers will still be available in person, on the phone, and via email.
  • The Case Processing link on the OCC website will still be available for searching/viewing court documents filed prior to the launch of ECF.
  • Imaging will still be available for viewing court documents filed prior to ECF’s launch.
  • The current procedures for submitting orders will not change.
  • During the transition to ECF other filing methods will remain available.

The Oklahoma Corporation Commission (OCC) will start Electronic Case Filing (ECF) on Monday, March 21. Watch for ECF instructions on the OCC homepage and ongoing updates through GovDelivery in the days and weeks ahead. To get started:

1.  All who file cases with OCC are encouraged to register with ECF beginning Monday, March 21.

2.  Training and demonstrations are in the works in conjunction with the OBA CLE Department for attorneys who file at the OCC on energy, transportation, utility and other matters.

3.  You can view a recent public demonstration of ECF which included audience questions and answers. The video is in two parts:

ECF Demo Part 1

Part 1 of the demonstration begins at 30:00.

ECF Demo Part 2

Part 2 of the demonstration picks up where Part 1 left off.

4.  The public demonstration and questions/answers can be found in Parts 1 and 2, and a final summary of what filers can expect on Monday can specifically be found at 20:50 (Part 2).
