Licensing Window Information: Please be advised that our licensing windows are now located on the first floor. The hours of operation are as follows: Thursdays: 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.  Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. We accept payments via check, money order, and most major credit cards. We do not accept cash under any circumstances.

FAQs - Boiler Pressure Vessels

  • (a) An application for the service, repair and/or installation of boilers or pressure vessels shall be on forms provided by the Department of Labor and shall give evidence of the applicants past experience within the scope of the license requested, and shall give evidence of their workmanship and skills which would qualify them for the license requested.
  • (b) The Chief Boiler Inspector may request an interview with the applicant prior to the issuance of a license.
  • (c) The desired scope of license shall be listed on the application for the authorization requested

  • Yes ASME section I, IV, and VIII each have a test for licensing. A passing grade must be achieved prior to receiving a new license in each area.
  • Renewing a current license dos not require retesting

  • Licenses issued under this subchapter shall be renewed twelve (12) months from the issue month on their initial or current license, and annually on this anniversary date thereafter.

  • At this time, this option is not available.

  • No, you will need to provide an application with the required documentation and fee either in person or by mail

  • Completed application and ASME / NB Certificate of authorization (if applicable)

  • We accept check or money order for mail in applicants. For walk-in applicants, we accept check, money order, American Express, Visa and MasterCard.

  • The license is valid for (12) twelve months.

  • The license is ($100) one hundred dollars. If the license is expired more than 90days you will need to reapply.
