IT Project Management Memorandum

The purpose of this memorandum is to communicate expectations regarding the implementation of IT project management services as a state standard

Beginning in FY 2019, OMES IS project management services will be required for any IT projects undertaken by executive state agencies, as determined by OMES IS through a risk and cost benefit analysis. OMES IS will work with agencies to appropriately budget project management services.

For more information, view the Project Management memorandum.

IT Project Management Methodology and Standards

The IT project management methodology and standards provide a six-phase plan and deliverables such as business case, cost benefit analysis and risks.

IT Project Monitoring and Transparency Initiative

Projects.ok.gov is a service provided to Oklahomans and the State of Oklahoma vendor community to access information about information technology projects resulting in expenditures in excess of $100,000. It is a simple way to explore Oklahoma’s current IT projects and future opportunities on one website.

Information is provided by the OMES Information Services project management office, which oversees IT projects within the organization and standardizes the management process.

Projects.ok.gov was created as part of House Bill 1086, the Oklahoma State Government IT Project Monitoring and Transparency Initiative, enacted in 2011 and codified at 62 O.S. § 34.11.8.
