Open Records Act

Reproduction Fees

In accordance with the Oklahoma Open Records Act (Title 51 Oklahoma Statutes §§ 24A.l - 24A.33), the Oklahoma Office of Management and Enterprise Services will charge a copying fee of twenty-five cents ($0.25) per page for records having the dimensions of eight & one-half (8 1/2) by fourteen (14) inches or smaller and one dollar ($1.00) per copied page for a certified copy. For all other records, the Office of Management and Enterprise Services may charge the actual costs of reproduction, including charges for search production and confidentiality review.

The Office of Management and Enterprise Services may not charge a search fee when the release of records is in the public interest. This may include, but is not limited to, a release to the media seeking to ensure those entrusted with the affairs of the government are honestly and competently performing their duties as public servants.

However, if the open records request is solely for commercial purposes or would clearly cause an excessive disruption of essential agency functions, the Office of Management and Enterprise Services may charge the direct cost of a record search incurred from the 3rd party supplier.  An example of excessive disruption is when the records requested are not readily available via an in-house search but requires a 3rd party vendor to search broad terms such as “any and all records” or for a span of time rather than a specific date.

OMES search and review fees will be calculated at the rate of fifty dollars ($50.00) per documented hour.

All statutory provisions regarding confidentiality will apply.
