Mobile Device Management
OMES has officially transitioned to Microsoft Intune as the state’s new Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform. This advanced management system simplifies the administration of Apple and Android devices while enhancing the safety and security of state data.
With Microsoft Intune, we now have streamlined capabilities for managing devices, allowing for seamless access restoration in the event of being locked out, as well as effective oversight of licenses, applications, and data—all from a centralized interface.
We encourage you to utilize the self-passcode reset feature to prevent data loss. If you encounter any issues with this feature, please contact the Service Desk promptly to avoid your device being auto-wiped after ten unsuccessful passcode attempts.
Additionally, we invite you to explore the available mobile device resources, which include helpful videos and documents to guide you through enrollment and data backup processes.
OMES is pleased to offer Apple iPhone as the state standard for mobile devices. State agencies may acquire services, iPhone equipment and accessories directly from approved vendors on statewide contract knowing they will work in our technology environment, meet state architecture and security requirements and be supportable by OMES complying with the IT Consolidation and Coordination Act. Note: iPhone X model and above currently meet state standards.
