CAM receives rebate for energy-efficient lighting

Last month, the OMES CAM team received a hefty rebate from Oklahoma Gas and Electric Company (OG&E) in the amount of $42,000.93. This rebate was granted in response to a recent retrofitting project in which OMES CAM replaced 32-watt fluorescent light bulbs with LED plug and play tubes at the Department of Transportation's facility.

LED light bulbs offer significantly greater cost and energy efficiency than standard fluorescent bulbs. Retrofitting projects such as this help to reduce operating costs for the State of Oklahoma, modernize state facilities and positively impact the environment.

Fleet Management

State receives first made-in-Oklahoma electric vehicles from Canoo

n late December, the State of Oklahoma received its first three made-in-Oklahoma electric vehicles from Canoo. Fleet modernization is one of the governor's top initiatives to increase efficiency statewide. The OMES Fleet Management team has taken a dedicated approach in reducing underutilized fleet and advancing central fleet operations. These electric vehicles signify a turning point in diminishing waste and enhancing long-term returns on investment.

“I am proud of the savings and asset reductions we’ve made so far in our fleet effort,” said John Suter, state chief operating officer and OMES executive director. “This progress positions us well to reinvest that money into future-focused, cost-effective vehicle options that better align with our goals.”

Real Estate and Leasing Services provides a “Numbers At-A-Glance” section in the report to

provide a quick summary of the information reported by the agencies. The report also includes a section with property highlights to provide a glimpse of select properties in the state’s diverse portfolio.
