ELO Scholarship

EDUCATION LEADERSHIP OKLAHOMA (ELO) is administered by the Office of Educational Quality and Accountability (OEQA) in partnership with the Oklahoma State Legislature to provide support for Oklahoma Teachers seeking National Board Certification.

Per 70 O.S. § 6-204.2 (OSCN 2024), scholarship recipients will be funded $1,300 for the application process for National Board Certification. Support and mentoring will be provided by OEQA and be available to all applicants.

Scholarship recipients will also receive a $500 materials stipend. Payments for the $1300 scholarship will be divided among the four components of the National Board process. $325 will be paid upon registration for each component.

Education Leadership Oklahoma (ELO) Scholarship for National Board Certification

The Education Leadership Oklahoma (ELO) Scholarship is now accepting applications to support Oklahoma public school teachers pursuing National Board Certification (NBCT) and Maintenance of Certification (MOC). 

  • New Candidates: Eligible for a $1,300 scholarship toward certification costs, plus a $500 stipend to cover additional expenses associated with obtaining National Board Certification. 
  • MOC Candidates: Eligible for a $495 scholarship for MOC fees, plus a $500 stipend to cover additional expenses associated with obtaining National Board Certification. 

Priority will be given to new candidates as they pursue full National Board Certification. 

Application Deadlines:

  • MOC Candidates: September 20th, 2024 
  • New Candidates: September 30th, 2024
