Program Review
With a focus on continuous improvement, EPPs engage in systematic program reviews to ensure content alignment with national or state approved standards. OEQA evaluates individual program areas during the timeline of the accreditation review process.
OEQA recognizes two pathways for program review:
- National Program Review Process
a. Specialized Professional Associations (SPAs) define content-area standards for certain programs
b. SPAs approved by the Council for Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) - State Program Review Process
a. Initial Programs (undergraduate degrees)
b. Advanced Programs (graduate degrees)
