Oklahoma Launches Out-of-State Test Comparability Dashboard

Monday, May 12, 2025

The Office of Educational Quality and Accountability (OEQA) is pleased to announce the launch of the Out of State Test Comparability Dashboard, a new resource designed to streamline the certification process for educators moving to Oklahoma who have taken certification tests other than the Oklahoma Subject Area Tests (OSATs).

This user-friendly tool allows teachers and stakeholders to quickly look up tests taken in other states to determine whether they meet Oklahoma’s certification requirements. By eliminating the need for lengthy manual reviews, the dashboard gives educators the ability to confirm test comparability on their own. This self-service approach saves valuable time, reduces administrative burdens, and allows teachers to move through the certification process more quickly and with greater confidence. With this new system, the turnaround time for test reviews has been reduced from 2–6 weeks to instant results for most exams.

The dashboard also reduces barriers for educators already planning to apply for certification in Oklahoma. By simplifying what was once a time-consuming step, the state ensures that qualified teachers from other states can secure certification with fewer delays, helping strengthen Oklahoma’s teacher pipeline and better support schools across the state.

We encourage teachers, administrators, and education partners to explore the Out of State Test Comparability Dashboard and share it with educators relocating to Oklahoma.
