OCC Transportation Enforcement Division Pins New Lieutenant/Duty Station Commander During Ceremony

BOISE CITY, OK – The Oklahoma Corporation Commission’s (OCC) Transportation Enforcement Division pinned a new Lieutenant during a special ceremony held at the agency’s Boise City Weigh Station on Thursday, May 9, 2024.
Newly-pinned Lieutenant Holly Cobb was joined by her husband, Boise City Police Chief Nathan Cobb, her parents Donald and Yvonne Sangster, Mother-in-Law Debra Carey and children Cayl, Rocky, Tyrus and Ziva Cobb.
Transportation Enforcement Chief Scott Baze removed Lieutenant Cobb’s old shield and insignia and her husband, Nathan, took the honors of pinning the new insignia and shield to her uniform.
Lieutenant Cobb is an 9-year veteran of law enforcement including service with the Boise City Police Department and the Cimarron County Sheriff’s Office. She’s been a Motor Carrier Enforcement Office with OCC the past six years. In addition to being promoted to Lieutenant, Cobb will also serve as the Duty Station Commander at the Boise City Weigh Station.
In addition to her family and fellow officers, OCC Transportation Enforcement Division Deputy Director Brett Macy was on hand for the ceremony.
“We’re extremely proud of the job Lieutenant Cobb and the other officers perform at this important furthest-most post in our division,” Macy said. “Our transportation enforcement officers serve as the state’s first line of defense in protecting Oklahoma highways.”
More than 4.6 million motor carriers entered Oklahoma at a port of entry or weigh station in fiscal year 2023. While 74% met tax, permitting and weight requirements through the rolling inspection system, 103,564 required further examination by OCC officers.
