  • Use blowers that meet safety standards with properly rated electrical equipment

Anchoring & Setup

  • Devices must be securely anchored using stakes, weights, or sandbags

  • Follow ASTM or manufacturer’s anchoring specs — whichever is more stringent

ASTM F2374 Compliance is a Requirement

Standard for Commercial Inflatable Safety Includes:

  1. Design & Construction – Fire-resistant, multiple air chambers, safe exits

  2. Anchoring – Specific stake lengths, burial depth, etc.

  3. Operation & Supervision – Trained attendants, minimum staff levels

  4. Weather Rules – Shut down in storms/high winds (15–25 mph max)

  5. Inspection & Maintenance – Daily logs, recordkeeping

Incident Reporting

Report immediately to ODOL if:

  • A significant injury or fatality occurs

  • There's a mechanical failure
(Device must remain closed until cleared by ODOL)

Why Compliance Matters

  • Demonstrates professionalism and responsibility

  • Preferred by schools, parents, and event planners

  • Avoids fines, lawsuits, and insurance complications

  • Proof of compliance is often required by municipalities and organizers

  • Peace of mind that you're operating legally and safely

Consequences of Non-Compliance

  • Cease and Desist Orders

  • Fines (daily violations can compound)

  • Loss of Insurance Coverage

  • Public Reputation Damage

  • Revocation of Registration Privileges
