Important Safety Recall - Home Elevators

As the representative of the AHJ in your state, please take note of an important safety recall for home elevators. Home elevator manufacturers are voluntarily recalling elevators in conjunction with CPSC to eliminate potential hazardous gaps in home elevator installations. Adopting and enforcing A17.1 2016 part 5.3, specifically 5.3.1.8.3, will help prevent these potentially hazardous gap spaces in all new home elevator installations.
