State Employee Recreational Leagues

The state employee recreation leagues were organized primarily as a way to promote exercise, relax and de-stress from work. The leagues also provide a way to meet new people from other agencies, team build outside of the office and network. It began with bowling and has grown into several sports that are played year-round. If you want to improve your social well-being through fun and being part of a team, please consider participating.  

Basketball

Summer

  • Duration: Typically, from 6-10 weeks depending on the number of teams.
  • Game Times: 6:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m., and 8:00 p.m.
  • Must be full-time state, education or municipal employee

Bowling

Oklahoma City
Fall & Spring

  • Location: Bowlero Bowl, 3501 South Boulevard, Edmond, OK 73013.
  • Spring league begins early March and goes through early May.
  • Fall league begins early September and goes through mid-November.
  • League is 10 weeks in length.
  • Cost is $170.
  • Begins 6:30 p.m.
  • Four-person teams with two subs allowed.

Golf

  • Location: Lincoln Park Golf Course, 4001 N.E. Grand Blvd., Oklahoma City.
  • Registration fee includes cart and green fees (subject to change).
  • $27.97 with cart and $19.82 if walking.
  • Shotgun start is at 5:30 p.m.
  • Spring & Summer league usually begins in April and goes through June.
  • Summer & Fall league usually begins in August and goes through September.
  • Each session is approximately 10 weeks.
  • Nine holes alternating each week between east and west course (front nines only).
  • Two-person teams (switching between scramble and best ball formats).

Pickleball

Softball

  • Early Bird Registration: $79.00 
  • Mid Registration: $85.00 
  • Late Registration: $89.00
  • Teams must have minimum of nine people on the roster
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Tennis

Spring & Fall

  • Location: Oklahoma City Tennis Center.
  • Cost: $50.00 - $64.00 per person (paid on first day).
  • Sunday evenings 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m..
  • Two seasons: April - May & September - October.
