OBNDD UPDATE
Please see below for a message from the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs:
State law requires all controlled substances to be electronically prescribed, unless specified otherwise. If one of the exemptions specified in law applies, the controlled substance prescription must be written on an OBN-issued prescription pad. Oklahoma pharmacies will likely be unable to fill any prescription for a controlled substance that is not electronically prescribed or written on OBN-issued prescription pads.
It is the responsibility of the prescriber to ensure they have an OBN-issued prescription pad for instances when electronic prescribing is not possible. It is recommended that all prescribers maintain a small supply of OBN-issued prescription pads to use during technological or electrical failures. You should never wait until it is too late to order your OBN-issued prescription pad. If you already have a prescription pad, you can use it for temporary technological and electrical failures. Make sure you are aware of how many are remaining and reorder before you are out.
If you do not currently have a prescription pad it is recommended that you order one now. You can order prescription pads through your OBN registration account HERE.
