AG Opinion 2024-3

All Supervising Physicians should be aware that the Attorney General has opined that "Oklahoma law does not allow physician assistants to prescribe or administer Schedule II drugs at off-site locations." One function of the Attorney General is to issue opinions to legislators and other state officers regarding questions of law. This opinion was requested by the Medical Board. The Board of Osteopathic Examiners is required to act in accordance with an Attorney General opinion until the opinion is set aside by a court. Supervising Physicians must comply with this opinion until further notice. Read more »

Mid-Level Supervision

Let this be a reminder that supervising physicians are limited to six (6) mid-level practitioners per 510:10-4-3.

A temporary approval of a maximum of ten (10) may be granted by the Executive Director at their discretion.  The request will then be heard by the Board at the next Regularly Scheduled Meeting and may be approved, denied, tabled, or modified.

For more information on mid-level supervision exception requests, please email support@osboe.ok.gov.

2024-2025 Renewal

Licensure Renewal will begin on May 1, 2024.  All Oklahoma Osteopathic licenses expire June 30 of each year.

Be aware that OSBOE intends to require the upload of your CME completion certificates and supervising agreements.  More information to come regarding this new requirement.
