Licensing System and Renewal Notices

Wednesday, February 03, 2021

Oklahoma City, Wednesday, February 3, 2021:

Dear Oklahoma Osteopathic Physicians:

It has come to my attention that many of you have received email notifications from our new licensing system, Thentia, about renewing your license for 2021-22. If you received an email from Thentia where the subject line read “Renewal Reminder,” I apologize. This inadvertent email was sent to you automatically from our new licensing system prematurely and without the ability to modify the template email to ensure the information was accurate—which it was not. Again, I apologize for any confusion this may have caused.

As you know from prior years’ experience, the renewal period opens on May 10 and closes on June 30 with no late fee, and July 1 to August 31 with a $150 late fee. Over the next few months, you will see additional emails from my office reminding you of the upcoming renewal period and the importance of logging in early to our new Thentia licensing system to ensure you have no difficulty.

To activate your existing account with our office on the new licensing system, click here. After clicking, you will be asked for an email to send the activation code. You must use the email address that the email you are now reading was sent to in order to get an activation code from the new licensing system.  If you would like to change your email address, you may do so after logging in using your email address for the old system.

Once you are in your new account, you can explore the different options available. This new system was designed by Thentia specifically for our Board.  It will allow you to complete many tasks not previously available online. These tasks include, but are not limited to, document requests, dispensing permit requests, status and specialty changes, entering and uploading CME, and printing renewal certificates, pocket cards, and receipts for any transaction made in the system.

Our office has created a short video that will walk you through activating and navigating your account. You can find the video on our website at www.oklahoma.gov/osboe under the “Resources” tab and the “Login” tab.

Of course, if you ever have any questions or issues with Thentia or your license in general, please do not hesitate to give us a call. We are here to assist you. Your Osteopathic Board office is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., excluding state holidays. You can contact us by calling 405/528-8625, by email at support@osboe.ok.gov, or by visiting www.oklahoma.gov/osboe/contact-information.html.

On behalf of the Board and its Staff, thank you for the incredible work you and your colleagues are doing to treat Oklahoma patients.

Very truly yours,

Michael T. Leake Jr., J.D.

Executive Director
