Fraudulent Call Warning
Oklahoma City, Wednesday, March 5, 2025 — The Oklahoma State Board of Osteopathic Examiners has been informed that fraudulent calls are being made to licensees. If you believe you are receiving one of these calls - please hang up and call us directly.
A few things to watch for:
- OSBOE will never inform you your license is suspended or "on hold" over the phone and ask for a sum of money to resolve the issue.
- These individuals may know your license number. Your license number is public information and can be found on our physician search. If they ask for additional identifying or personal information, we advise you to immediately hang up.
- Fraudulent callers can also "spoof" phone numbers, so it may look like it is coming from our office or the Oklahoma Medical Board.
- If an OSBOE investigator calls you regarding an open investigation, they will clearly state who they are and what the purpose of the call is.
Should you receive one these calls and are concerned, please contact our office at (405) 528-8625 or support@osboe.ok.gov.
Kind regards,
