New Administrative Rules Effective September 11, 2022
Oklahoma City, Thursday, September 1, 2022 — This email is to serve as a notice that Administrative Rule changes will be going into effect on September 11, 2022. Below, we have provided a brief overview of changes that may affect your license. This summary is not all encompassing. Please see the attached PDF copy below to read all of the changes in their entirety. Any new language is underlined and any language that has been removed is stricken.
- Mid-Level Supervision: Supervision limits are being raised from four (4) mid-level practitioners to six (6). Exceptions for additional mid-levels can be made in writing to the Executive Director, with ratification by the Board. You may email your request to support@osboe.ok.gov. (510:10-4)
- Prescribing: The rules regarding Unprofessional Conduct related to Controlled Drugs have been expanded. (510:5-7-1). Rules on Prescribing for Pain will now be more adaptable and will follow current federal and state law. (510:5-9)
- Renewals/CME: Rules on the CME required have been modernized to allow for physicians with a board certification through the American Medical Association (AMA) to utilize AMA credits on their renewal. They also update the annual one (1) hour credit required on prescribing of Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS). (510:10-3-8)
- Fees: The fee schedule has been updated to reflect current practices and cost. All renewal fees will now be $225.00, regardless of status. Please note, there is no change to the fee for physicians that renew "In State". (510:10-7-1)
