Disabling Legacy Authentication

Thursday, March 03, 2022

OMES is disabling legacy authentication on certain products to elevate our cybersecurity posture. Users running Outlook 2013 or below will be required to log in portal.office.com unless the system is capable of being upgraded.

IMPORTANT: All users must leave their workstations on and connected to the internet throughout the weekend in order for OMES to perform critical patching.

What to Expect

  • If you are running Outlook 2013 or below, you will have to log in to portal.office.com to use the service.
  • Do not power off your workstation or disconnect it from the internet. Patching will be performed over the weekend. You may experience disruptions in service.
