Agency Learning Administrator Certification — Since 2025
This certification equips Agency Learning Administrators (ALAs) with the knowledge, skills and resources needed to effectively manage and support learning in Workday@OK. Through six self-paced, on-demand modules, participants will explore core concepts, workflows and best practices, along with tools and downloadable resources to help streamline their responsibilities.
The certification includes six modules:
- Agency Learning Administrator Foundations
- Creating and Scheduling Course Content
- Setting Up Grouped Content
- Managing Learning Content
- Managing Learners
- Learning Reporting
Certified Benefit Partner — Since 2024
The Certified Benefit Partner program is designed to train and support benefit partners across Oklahoma. This role-based program keeps benefit partners engaged and informed about changes to state employee benefits and Workday through quarterly webinars and the annual Certified Benefit Partner Open Enrollment Training. OMES Statewide Training and Learning is responsible for all learning credits, credentials, assignments and reporting in Workday@OK.
Certified Human Resources Professional — Since 2026
As a member of the human resources team for the state of Oklahoma, you help drive our agencies into the future. From interview to exit, you engage employees and serve as the bridge between agencies and their employees. During this course, we will discuss shared definitions, processes, best practices, expectations and standards for state of Oklahoma HR. By aligning HR practices, we can help ensure employees and agencies have consistent experiences while maintaining appropriate compliance practices.
This course includes seven self-paced modules:
- HR Foundations: Review the basics of employment law, ethical responsibilities for HR, and the state and federal agencies and organizations that partner with state of Oklahoma HR.
- Job Classification and Compensation: Explore the job analysis process, job families, job profiles, job descriptions and compensation.
- Employee Selection: Examine selection guidelines, key elements of position descriptions and selection best practices.
- Starting Employees: Review state of Oklahoma hiring practices and procedures, best practices for extending an offer, and how to hire and onboard an employee.
- Maintaining Employees: Navigate employee profiles in Workday@OK, payroll information and regulations, compensation and job changes, and time and leave.
- Managing Performance and Employment: Examine the performance review process, the progressive discipline process, workforce planning tools and HR metrics.
- Employee Separation: Identify separation types, processes and best practices for employment reference requests and communication with outside parties.
Certified P-card Holder
In this course, you will learn what it means to be part of the Oklahoma P-card program. You will discover the roles and responsibilities involved in the program, how to make purchasing decisions and the reporting process for P-card transactions.
This course includes four modules:
- P-card Fundamentals
- Using a State of Oklahoma P-card
- P-card Categories of Purchase
- Reporting for P-cards
Certified Payroll Partner — Since 2024
The Certified Payroll Partner program is designed to train and support payroll partners across Oklahoma. Payroll partners play an essential role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time in every agency. This certificate program offers bi-monthly webinars to provide updates, engage participants and share important information.
OMES Statewide Training and Learning works alongside payroll subject matter experts to update certification training content and provide regularly scheduled training opportunities for state of Oklahoma employees with the Payroll Processing and Partner roles in Workday@OK. OMES Statewide Training and Learning is responsible for all learning credits, credentials, assignments and reporting in Workday@OK.
Certified Procurement Officer (CPO) Level 1 and 2
The Certified Procurement Officer Program is designed to provide a foundational understanding of procurement and acquisition processes, as well as the hierarchy of legislation and procurement rules in state procurement.
This certificate program offers monthly brown bag webinars and biannual in-person training to ensure CPOs earn the required CEUs for recertification. OMES Statewide Training and Learning is responsible for managing all credits, credentials and reporting in Workday@OK.
