NorthCare, a certified ODMHSAS service provider, is announcing the grand opening of a new Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) in Edmond, OK. This facility was made possible through grants from the City of Edmond, Oklahoma County Commissioners, private donations and ODMHSAS. Program services are being supported through a four-year federal grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) providing $1 million annually to expand CCBHC services in Edmond.
As one of the first CCBHC agencies in Oklahoma, NorthCare is dedicated to addressing the whole person, encompassing mental health, physical health and substance use. Their range of services includes 24-hour crisis care, evidence-based practices and care coordination, emphasizing both substance use and mental health care.
With a well-established commitment to providing accessible behavioral health services regardless of financial means, NorthCare offers a range of support for children, adults and families, aiding in recovery from mental illness, substance use, trauma or crisis. The new Edmond location will provide outpatient and voluntary services and eventually serve those in crisis through an Urgent Recovery Center (URC) to be opened later this year.
Randy Tate, CEO of NorthCare, proudly states “NorthCare is pleased to work with many stakeholders in Edmond to be able to offer urgent care services for individuals and families in a behavioral health crisis and extend our options for delivering high-quality outpatient services. Thank you to the City of Edmond for their extensive support.”
NorthCare and ODMHSAS invite the community, healthcare professionals, stakeholders and media members to join us for the grand opening of the outpatient clinic in Edmond on Friday, March 22, 2024, at 12:15 p.m. The event will be held at 820 W. 15th Street, Edmond, OK.
