Licensing Program

This service oversees the licensure, registration, and regulation of 51 distinct occupational licenses throughout the state. This is accomplished through the evaluation of applicant experience and education; the issuing, renewal, and upgrade of licenses; distribution of licensing news and renewal notices; and the initiation of criminal history checks. ODOL licenses approximately 10,000 individuals and businesses while simultaneously protecting the health, safety, and welfare of all Oklahomans by ensuring that licensees have met a standard of expertise.

The ODOL Licensing Services is responsible for providing customer service, pre-licensure support and application processing.  Licensing is responsible for a number of functions such as reviewing applications, processing renewals, handling payments, issuing licenses and certificates, and maintaining licensing records.  The Licensing staff protects the safety of Oklahomans by ensuring they are served by qualified professionals.
