Certified Chiropractic Assistant

CCA Examination

Courses that are PACE approved with the Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards will be accepted for the Certified Chiropractic Assistants. Those individuals who have over 2,000 hours or more of employment with an actively licensed chiropractic physician are exempt from taking the 12 hour certification course. However, those individuals with 2,000 hours or more of employment will still have to take the examination prior to being issued a certification by the OBCE. The first step in the certification process for all Chiropractic Assistants will be to make application to the board office by submitting the above application with the application fee.

*ATTENTION CA's: Please know that the CCA examination is designed for a comprehensive skill set. The general baseline as outlined in our study guide walks you through the areas to be covered. Some offices use a variety of modalities, some only use a few, however the exam will test for competency over all of them. This is a minimum standard for those having patient contact as any office could get a new machine at any time. Please make sure you are prepared to be tested over passive care modalities in general as well as the other topical sections listed in the study guide. Thank you!

Step 1:

Chiropractic Assistants must submit the following to the Board office:

  • CCA Application
  • $50.00 Application Fee
  • Passport photo (see first page of the CA application)
  • Copy of your State Driver's License or State ID
  • $50.00 Exam Fee (refer to Step 4)

Upon receipt in the Board office of ALL the above items, we will send you an email with your next steps on how to proceed with the Certified Chiropractic Assistant process.

Step 2:

Click here for courses that have been approved. *If you have more than 2,000 hours, skip to Step 3.* Once you have completed the course, you will send a copy of your certificate of completion to the Board office.

Step 4:
