Charity Games License Guide

Charity licenses allow qualified nonprofit organizations to serve or auction alcoholic beverages at fundraising events, with options like Charitable Alcoholic Beverage Event or Charitable Auction licenses to support community causes while complying with strict limits.

Charity Games License Types


Authorizes a person to work for compensation in a licensed charity game establishment.

Statute: Employee or Manager License
Application Fee: $15
Renewal Fee: $15
Required Documents: None
Allowable Entity: Individual
Intended Use Cases: Bingo Hall Runner, Caller, Employee

Authorizes any person or business entity desiring to sell or supply any charity game equipment to a licensed organization in this state.

Statute: Application for Distributor License
Application Fee: $5,000
Renewal Fee: $5,000
Required Documents:
  • Tax receipt/clearance from the Oklahoma Tax Commission
  • Certificate of Good Standing from the Oklahoma Secretary of State (LLC)
  • Certificate of Incorporation (Corporations)
  • Certificate of Partnership from the Oklahoma Secretary of State (LP, GP)
  • Individual History Forms for all owners if business is not a corporation
  • Individual History Forms for officers and directors, and each stakeholder owning 10% or more of stock if business is a corporation
Allowable Entity: Individual/Sole Proprietor, Limited Liability Company, Corporation, General Partnership, Limited Partnership
Intended Use Cases: Distributes bingo supplies from manufacturer to licensed locations

Authorizes any person or business entity desiring to sell or supply charity game equipment to a distributor in this state.

  • Letter from IRS granting tax exempt status under 501(c) and letter assigning the Federal Employer Identification number
  • Articles of Incorporation
  • Bylaws of the organization
  • Minutes of the meeting of the organization at which the governing body was elected and the terms of office of each member of the governing body
  • Minutes of the meeting of the governing body of the organization at which the application for the license was authorized

Allowable Entity: 501(c) Authorized Entity
Intended Use Cases: Fraternal Organizations: VFW, Elks Lodge, American Legion

Authorizes a person who is a manager of an organization, to have supervisory authority over other employees or over the conduct of charity games and has been designated by the organization.

Intended Use Cases:
Bingo Hall Manager

Authorizes any hospital, nursing home, senior center, etc. that regularly hosts charity games for residents and their immediate family to obtain an exemption for hosting bingo games.

Required Documents:
  • Individual History Form for the owner, supervisor, or other authorized person
  • Statement that said facility shall conduct charity games at the specified facility for the residents or regular patrons of the facility and their immediate family members. Provided, the prizes awarded either in cash or any other thing of value shall not exceed Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250.00) in any one (1) day.

Intended Use Cases:
Nursing Home, Senior Center

Authorizes an exemption for charity games, not more than 4 times per year to be conducted by an organization.

  • Individual History for the executive officer of the organization
  • Meeting minutes documenting the election of the executive officer
  • A statement that said organization shall conduct a charity game session four or fewer times per calendar year and the dates and times and location wherein such activities shall occur
  • Letter from IRS granting tax exempt status under 501(c) and letter assigning the Federal Employer Identification number or other proof of tax exemption (in the case of schools)
