Michael C. Felty, Vice-Chairman

Michael Felty has been an attorney for over 30 years. He is the managing shareholder of Lytle, Soulé & Felty, the present incarnation of a law firm that opened its doors in downtown Oklahoma City in 1902.

Felty’s experience includes trial, mediation or arbitration of construction, personal injury, business and intellectual property matters throughout Oklahoma and several other states. He is admitted to practice in federal and state courts in Oklahoma and Texas. He is also admitted to practice at the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

A veteran, Felty served in the Army as a member of a Pershing Missile Battalion at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, and Heilbronn, Germany, from 1973 through 1976.

While stationed at Fort Sill, Felty attended Cameron University in Lawton. Following the completion of his military service, Felty continued at Cameron part time while working full time. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business in 1981. He earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 1984.

Felty is a past president and member of the Board of Directors of the Oklahoma Association of Defense Counsel. He is a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel, Defense Research Institute, Litigation Counsel of America and the Federal Bar Association. He is a master in the Luther L. Bohanon American Inn of Court XXIII. Felty has been rated AV Preeminent, the highest possible peer-review rating, for over 20 years.

Felty is a University of Oklahoma President’s Associate and member of the Second Century Scholarship Society of the University of Oklahoma College of Law.
