From intern to CFO: We will miss you, Lia Tepker-McHughes!

Tuesday, January 04, 2022

Lia Tepker-McHughes started with the Office of Management and Enterprise Services as an intern 14 years ago. Leadership recognized her talent through the years, and she was continually promoted, eventually becoming the OMES chief financial officer.

“Lia’s leadership of our agency’s financial position and goals cannot be recognized enough,” said Steven Harpe, Oklahoma’s chief operating officer and OMES executive director. "Her kindness and dedication to the people she serves is felt and appreciated by all who meet her.”

“We are surrounded by extraordinarily talented people at OMES, but Lia is among the best,” OMES Deputy Director Dana Webb said. “Her service and value are beyond measure, and we wish her well in her future positions serving the state.”

“It has been the utmost pleasure serving as the CFO for OMES these past 3 1/2 years,” Tepker-McHughes said. “I’ve gained so much in this time – knowledge, leadership acumen, cherished relationships – and I will take these with me for life. I had the opportunity to work with the most impressive team of professionals in Finance, as well as the most hard-working, intelligent and supportive colleagues around. I’m so grateful to the leadership of OMES and their display of innovation, drive and determination to make the culture of OMES one of excellence for both employees and customers, alike. Thank you, OMES, for all the great memories.”

Tepker-McHughes’ next adventure will be as director of innovation for the Oklahoma District Attorneys Council. She will still serve the state she loves, and her OMES family will cheer her on from across the Capitol Complex.
