New campus for the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services

REALS recently assisted the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) with the acquisition of their new Oklahoma City Behavioral Health Campus, located at 2129 S.W. 59th St.

The facility will undergo renovations throughout 2026 and will provide critical inpatient, adult and youth care once completed. The building's annex, which will hold 32 inpatient beds, is set to open in March 2026.

Facilities Management

Safety reminder

Although spring is approaching, there have still been a number of cold days recently, so the Office of Facilities Management would like to emphasize OMES' policy on space heaters.

OFM highly discourages the use of space heaters in OMES-managed buildings for two reasons:

  1. Adverse effect on building temperature and the comfort of others: Our standard building temperature setpoints range from 68°F to 74°F for heating and cooling, and our programming adjusts temperatures based on the total number of heating and cooling requests from zones throughout the building. When the system adjusts temperatures based on inaccurate readings skewed by the presence of space heaters, it ultimately causes discomfort for others in the building.
  2. Fire risk: Space heaters are a major cause of fires nationally in both commercial and residential settings.

Please help OFM keep our buildings safe and comfortable by not bringing space heaters to work and keeping sweaters or blankets at your workspace!

Congratulations to the Fleet Management team!

The State of Oklahoma has been named the 2026 Geotab Maintenance Champion, an award recognizing a fleet organization that has transformed its operations through innovative maintenance practices and effective use of technology and data insights to save costs, reduce downtime and deliver premier customer service.

The state’s Fleet Management team, part of the Office of Management and Enterprise Services (OMES), earned the distinction for its work transforming Oklahoma’s fleet operations from a manual approach to a fully data-driven model using Geotab telematics.

By leveraging real-time vehicle data and maintenance analytics, OMES Fleet Management has modernized how the state plans, tracks and services its vehicles – delivering substantial cost savings, improving uptime and responsiveness for customer agencies, and setting a new standard for fleet performance across state government.

"Oklahoma’s fleet has come a long way in a short time, and this award reflects the daily work our team puts into using real-time data to solve problems and serve our partner agencies better," said OMES Fleet Management Director Nathan Pumphrey. "Telematics gives us visibility we simply didn’t have before – we can anticipate maintenance needs, reduce downtime and make smarter decisions about replacements. Ultimately, that means more reliable vehicles and better service for our customers."

National Guard Arch and Park

Construction of the 45th Division National Guard Arch, located south of the State Capitol, continues to advance.

The arch’s east and west towers are finished, and construction of the concrete walls that will form the arch’s interior structure is now 60% complete. The installation of underground water irrigation for future landscaping is complete. Decorative stone veneers will be added to the arch's exterior walls in April.

Created by HB 4012 during the 2024 legislative session, the 45th Division National Guard Arch and Park aims to honor the bravery and sacrifice of Oklahoma’s National Guard service members and provide a dedicated space of reflection and remembrance for visitors to the Capitol.
