Pete began his career with the Oklahoma Capitol Patrol in 1985, assigned to the Governors Mansion and in 1988 went through the 43rd Oklahoma Highway Patrol academy assigned to Grady County.

Pete reassigned to the Murray County Detachment and went into special services units and became the OHP Dive Team Commander until his retirement in 2010.

Pete went to work for the Sulphur Fire Department and became Chief until his retirement in 2025.

Pete currently works in the Wellness unit for CLEET and is a Law Enforcement Instructor and teaches for OSUFST.
