Michael Grout

Department of Corrections

Michael currently serves as a Probation and Parole Officer IV with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections and is assigned as a Task Force Officer with the Oklahoma First Responder Wellness Division. He began his career with the Department of Corrections in 2004 and has dedicated almost two decades to public service.

After a brief transition into the banking industry, Michael returned to state service with the Oklahoma Department of Human Services in 2010 before rejoining the Department of Corrections in 2013.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Management and Ethics from Mid-America Christian University and a Master of Public Administration from University of Oklahoma.

In addition to his community corrections experience, Michael completed training in Individual Crisis Intervention and Peer Support in 2012 and served as a Volunteer Chaplain with the Oklahoma Department of Human Services. His public safety experience also includes service as an Emergency Medical Technician with EMSA and as a Reserve Police Officer with the Mounds Police Department.
