Chance Tuttle

Director

Chance Tuttle was appointed Director of the Oklahoma First Responder Wellness Division by Commissioner of Public Safety, Tim Tipton, on October 19, 2025.

Tuttle is a graduate of the 60th Oklahoma Highway Patrol Academy and began his career serving in the Tulsa Metro. Over the course of his service with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, he spent over a decade as a member of the OHP Tactical Team and holds multiple instructional certifications, including Firearms, Health and Wellness, Night Vision, and Breaching. He has served in the Wellness Division for several years and currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Oklahoma Law Enforcement Retirement System.

Throughout his career, Tuttle has been involved in hundreds of tactical operations, gaining firsthand experience in complex and high risk environments. This background has shaped his understanding of the physical, mental, and emotional demands placed on first responders.

As Director, he leads a first of its kind statewide effort focused on the mental health and wellness of Oklahoma’s first responders, both active and retired. His work operates at the intersection of public safety, mental health, and government leadership, with a focus on building trust, strengthening culture, and delivering practical, mission driven support.

Tuttle is committed to advancing comprehensive wellness initiatives that are grounded in real world experience and built for long term impact.

One of the most important things you can do on this earth is to let people know they are not alone.
