Located just 90 easy miles southwest of Oklahoma City on Interstate 44, Lawton is located in the heart of the Great Plains Country, an area well known for its abundant lakes, world-class fishing and hunting. Mount Scott, which rises 2,500 feet above the plains, provides some of the most breathtaking scenery in the state.

Southwestern Medical Center is a Joint Commission-accredited full-service hospital with 199 beds, including a 59-bed Med/Surg Unit, an 8-bed ICU which provides 24-hour emergency services. The physician staff of 150 provides care in 31 medical specialties, including comprehensive surgical services, Cardiopulmonary, Rehabilitation and Women’s Health services. Southwestern Regional Cancer Center was not only the first cancer program in southwest Oklahoma, but also the first to be accredited by the Commission on Cancer. There is also a separate Behavioral Health facility offering both inpatient and outpatient programs for all ages.

Southwestern Behavioral Health Center is looking for a BC/BE Psychiatrist to join their team. Adult services, both in-patient and out-patient needed. Clinical responsibilities include rounding on the inpatient unit (and/or seeing patients in outpatient clinic), evaluation and management of psychiatric patients in the Emergency Department, and providing psychiatric consults for medical-surgical patients.
