Oklahoma Broadband Office Announces Completion of Atlas CPF Projects

Thursday, October 22, 2026

OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma Broadband Office (OBO) is celebrating the completion of three broadband expansion projects by Atlas Broadband funded through the American Rescue Plan Act Capital Projects Fund (ARPA CPF).

The completed projects are bringing high-speed fiber-optic internet service to 829 homes and businesses in and around Tiawah, Justice and Sperry.

Atlas Broadband was awarded approximately $7.11 million for the three projects, which expand reliable broadband infrastructure and improve connectivity for Oklahoma residents and businesses in the project areas.

“These completed projects represent another important investment in communities that need high-speed connectivity to fully participate in today’s economy,” said Mike Sanders, Executive Director of the Oklahoma Broadband Office. “We appreciate Atlas Broadband’s partnership and their commitment to extending fiber infrastructure to Oklahoma communities that were left behind for too long.”

With construction complete, locations within the project areas can now connect to fiber-optic broadband capable of supporting work, education, health care, business growth and other essential online services. Residents can see which internet providers serve their home or business by typing in their address on the Internet Availability Map.

The Oklahoma Legislature created the Oklahoma Broadband Office in 2022 to ensure that at least 95% of Oklahomans have access to high-speed internet.

In 2024, the OBO awarded projects from both the ARPA State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund and Capital Projects Fund programs. The OBO continues to work with broadband providers across the state to complete federally funded infrastructure projects and fulfill its legislative mandate.
