Oklahoma's Future: The Path to Licensure Scholarship Fund

As the cost of getting a college education soars beyond the abilities of the young people to pay them back, it puts increasing pressures on this generation to come up with creative ways to pay for education. And, as we all know, education is the key that moves our state forward and brings prosperity.

The Oklahoma State Board of Architecture Path to Licensure Scholarship was established in 2015 to encourage and support students seeking a first professional degree in the fields of Architecture, Landscape Architecture or Interior Design. It is eligible to those third, fourth and fifth year students who have entered the professional phase of their education and settled on these professions. This scholarship is also designed to encourage and pursue young professionals to seek licensure in the State of Oklahoma. (59 OS Section 46.7(24); SB394 effective November 1, 2015)

It is our intent, with good stewardship, to look back on this specific piece of legislation in twenty years and see the remarkable impact it has had on not only the lives of these young people and their families, but the benefits for the people of the State of Oklahoma.
