Exam Candidates - Equivalent Standards - All Professions
An Equivalent Standards Exam Candidate is either a person who has a Bachelor's Degree that is not accredited and experience working under a licensed professional, OR is a person who does not have a Bachelor's Degree but has at least ten years of experience working under a licensed professional.
An Equivalent Standards Exam Candidate is required to apply with this Board for approval to begin testing, must have already established an experience record with NCARB or CLARB, and must fill out the Board's work reference form to document past work experience(Architects, Landscape Architects); for Licensed Interior Designers, complete the Board's work reference form.

**After completing and passing the required exam, please contact Ellen White (ellen.white@boardofarch.ok.gov) to proceed with licensure. DO NOT begin a new licensure application.**
Fee for Low-Income Individual:
Upon presentation of satisfactory evidence that an applicant is a low-income individual, the Board will grant a one-time, one-year waiver of any fees associated with the license or registration. To learn more about it, please contact the Board office.
