Healthy Incentive Grant: Schools

TSET Healthy Incentive Grant: Schools

Brightening the Future of Oklahoma's Children

To see when the next application period opens, visit our Upcoming Funding Opportunities page.

About

Healthy behaviors established during childhood can last a lifetime. The TSET Healthy Incentive Grant for Schools helps Oklahoma public school districts and school sites create healthier learning and working environments by adopting health-promoting policies and implementing best and promising practices in tobacco-free environments, nutrition, physical activity and employee wellness.

These policies and projects establish and support healthy behaviors for students, teachers and staff. School districts must apply first and receive a district grant before individual school sites within the district can apply.

Prepare To Apply

School districts can start preparing for a Healthy Incentive Grant before applications open. Reviewing your district’s policies and required documentation early can help identify any updates that may be needed.

Policy Builder Guide

TSET and Alliance for a Healthier Generation offer two free Oklahoma-specific policy builders to help districts develop or update their policies. The tools walk district teams step by step through creating a District Wellness Policy and a 24/7 Tobacco-, Smoke-, and Vape-Free Campus Policy aligned with TSET sample policies.

The one-page guide explains how to create an Alliance Action Center account, join your district’s organization and access both Oklahoma policy builders.

Grant Application Guidance Document

Use the guidance document as you prepare to apply. It provides additional information to help districts understand Healthy Incentive Grant requirements and prepare required policies and documentation.

When an application period opens, always review the current TSET Healthy Incentive Grant for School Districts Resource Guide for complete eligibility, application, policy and documentation requirements.

Q&A

TSET has a public Q&A process to allow equal information about funding opportunities to be shared with applicants. Questions about this funding opportunity must be submitted in writing via the HIG Q&A webform above.

When posing questions, every effort should be made to be concise and include the page number and section references, when possible. It is the applicant’s responsibility to check the TSET website for answers to submitted questions.

For Healthy Incentive Grants, TSET will answer questions continuously throughout the year. Answers will be posted below.
